Brainstorm

Music Video

"Looking Back & Forth"

It's the things in life that you thought were stable, that hurt most when they change.

Using Judah & The Lion's song "Everything Changes" (with permission from band) I would work to create a video that emulates what the lyrics in the song speak to. That is, how things can change so quickly when it feels like they have been one way for so long. The only solid ground being in Jesus, because He doesn't change, He isn't moved. My aim in this video would be to show a person that is reminiscing on his or her old days & doing some flashbacks to old home videos and incorporating that nostalgia feel with some emotion.

Documentary

"Huff & Puff"

Handcrafted Longboards using only reclaimed, recycled, and sustainable materials.

I know a guy that I went to High School with that has started is one business crafting and selling longboards called "Huff & Puff". He is a very aware guy that has a pretty sweet vision and it would be neat to get to know what brought about his desire for this business and how it is going since it is an early start-up, but seems to have really good potential. Also, he would let me use his GoPro to shoot some of the shots most likely which would be a plus! This would be similar to the sample video we saw in class of the motorbike / brewing company.

Narrative

"Check Mate"

When the game isn't just a game anymore.

Magical, mythical, un-real things seem to grab attention… well mine anyways. The story line would be something with a chess game becoming real life action (kinda like in Harry Potter) except it would be a normal chess game until there had to be a player removed in which there would take place a "FINISH HIM!" scenario where one player would behead, shoot, or blow up the other player. This could be taken in more of a comical fashion, or evil and horror.

  1. The doc idea is perfect for this class. The narrative is interesting but it is not clear how you would execute and design the story. The music video needs for detail and clarity to fully understand the concept. Taglines are missing for all concepts.

  2. I see the taglines clearly now. Sorry I missed that. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
